Program Format 1: Career Connections - "CAP Industry Insider Sessions" high school level student program)

PCD's Career Connections Programs are promoted directly through our participating consortiums of school CAP personnel in Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, and Perry Counties. All attending students are chaperoned by school support staff. Programs are generally held at the Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU), 55 Miller St., Enola.

Industry Insider Sessions (previously called "Table Talks") provide the opportunity for small group conversations, with students using an "Informational Interview" format, using a PCD-prior-provided list of questions. Rotation timings and formats vary by event. At the conclusion, students share out group responses to 2-3 questions that summarize their experience, what they learned, and the impact of the session.

PCD will provide all school chaperones with your contact information to continue conversations and help build & grow partnerships.

Educator in the Workplace / Leadership Academy - School Personnel Site Tours

PCD provides a limited number of educator tours during the school year to introduce school staff to high demand, high interest, and high placement careers. PCD promotes these through multiple school networks, and educators are provided continuing education credits for attending (PCD pays for these costs).

Sessions take place at your facility and include a meal (provided by you, the host organization), presentation/s of career/job needs, and a facility tour, when possible. You may limit the number of attendees, based on your facility. PCD generally recommends limiting to 10 for Educator in the Workplace.

Lunch sessions run from 11:30am – 2:30pm - dates are flexible.

Also available:

Leadership Academy is a fully dedicated tour day for school staff - Leadership Academy tours may be larger. Contact us for more info.

I would like to sponsor an educator site tour at my facility with a lunch and/or a jobs/careers presentation.
