PCD's Career Connections Programs are promoted directly through our participating consortiums of school CAP personnel in Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, and Perry Counties. All attending students are chaperoned by school support staff.
These Interactive Discovery Labs are generally held at the Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU), 55 Miller St., Enola, and require demonstrations and "hands on" opportunities, using equipment, simulations, and/or activities related to your field. PCD encourages presenters to bring engaging technology like simulators, and virtual reality.
Prior to the session, PCD provides registered students and participating presenters, a list of information interview questions to ask during rotations. At the conclusion, students share out group responses to 2-3 questions that summarize their experience and what they have learned.
PCD will provide all school chaperones with your contact information to continue conversations and help build & grow partnerships.
